Stacy groaned. This was terrible, and the worst thing about it was that,
as far as she could see, Donald and Debbie had a point. The drug had
obviously not been ready for testing on humans, and surely it had been
criminally irresponsible of her to do so. She wished she'd known what she
had been thinking. Trying to remain calm, she said "You'd be well within
your rights to sue me, I think. You're right, I am also suffering from
amnesia. I don't remember what I did, or why, but obviously it was wrong
of me. I don't blame you if you're bitter. But right now, all I'm
concerned with is finding some way to reverse the effects. And I could
really use your help in that." She looked Donald in the eye. "If not for
my sake," she continued, "then for Debbie's." Donald paused a moment before replying.
