"Not very helpful of him," Fred said. "Well I suppose that we'll just have to find someone to ask. Let's explore some more. There must be some people around here somewhere. After all, that kitchen didn't stock itself by magic."

Astra frowned. "I hope not, but it's not beyond the bounds of possibility."

So they left their room once more, and this time headed in the opposite direction to the kitchen.

  1. But they still didn't find anyone.
  2. They encountered someone who seemed not at all put out by their strange attire.
  3. They encountered someone who was understandably startled by their appearance.
  4. At least, that was their intention. But in the short time that it had taken them to search their room and read the note, the door had mysteriously become locked.
