Feeling considerably more uncomfortable now than just a few minutes ago
when your truck was plummeting down the side of a steep mountain, you can
only wordlessly look at the Man of Steel. Yes, he looks sincere enough.
You can see just how painfully honest he truly is by staring deep into his
eyes. But hold on a second! Superman is powerful enough to crush coal into diamonds, and surely there's a few mountains with an untapped coal supply buried deep within them nearby, aren't they? Superman could also travel deep into the earth's mantle and bring back who knows how much pure gold, not to mention any other precious minerals that he could find down there. Oh, and Superman is surely good enough that he could easily solve any future energy crisis by discovering, and then somehow bringing back vast supplies of oil and whatever else we may need from any distant, uninhabited planet in this universe! So, why is he asking you of all people for a fifty to tide him over until payday?
