The Weapon Store

Since Lord Fred was a knight and Astra was a warrior princess. they could hardly bring themselves to pass by a store that was selling weapons. The proprietor - a small, surprisingly harmless-looking man - hurried to greet them as they entered. apparently unfazed by the fact that Fred was wearing medieval armour and Astra was totally naked. [#3623] Perhaps he believed not only in the right to bear arms but in the right to bare everything. "Can I help you?" he asked politely. "I am A.E. van Vogt."

"What exactly is a tactical nuclear weapon?" Fred asked, pointing at a sign advertising that product.

"I fear that it might be a little beyond sir and madam's means," van Vogt said. "We usually sell those to governments and major terrorist organisations. Perhaps I could interest you in this +3 bastard sword instead."

1. "I've 30 gold pieces in my pack," Fred said. "Would that be enough to buy the tactical nuclear weapon thingy?"
2. "Bastard sword?" Astra mused. "I didn't even realise that swords had parents. Clearly I have much to learn."
3. "Woof," said Velus, annoyed that he was being ignored.
