The Skull Key

Jasper stands with his head in the skull-shaped hole for half a minute, to no apparent effect.

"So, had enough?" Sara asks.

"Maybe it needs more time." he says, his voice muffled by corn.

"Maybe. But why don't we entertain a crazy theory for a second, and place the skull we just found into the hole that's obviously skull-shaped? I mean, it's just crazy enough to work."

Sheepishly, Jasper pulls his head out of the hole and brushes some stray cornsilk away from his forehead. He gestures towards the hole. "After you."

Sara pulls the skull out of her bag, steps forward, and places it within the hole. It fits perfectly, as if made for it.

1. A door in the Great Wall of Corn opens. They step through.
2. A tiny peephole opens. A tinny voice on the other side screams "NO PEDDLERS!"
3. The empty eyesockets of the skull begin to glow red, and the wall of corn starts to shake.
4. A door opens further down the wall, and a man wearing a Guy Fawkes mask steps out..
5. The action of placing the skull in the wall unlocks a memory. But of what?
6. Nothing immediately happens, so they decide to discuss their dilemma in the Starbucks that was built about eight seconds ago, thirty feet away.
7. A small hatchway on the corn wall opens, and out pops a small iron skeleton key.
