Joe let the two into the apartment with a green key. "Food!" Stacy
cried. "Food! And chairs! And posters!"
Joe had several framed posters of what looked to Astra like playbills for
stage plays. Stacy pointed to one called 'Pulp Fiction'. "Ahahahaha!" she
giggled mildly. "John Travolta is the cutest-wutest little kitty cat
ever!" Another poster. "I always knew Brad Pitt would be a lion. What is
Angelina doing to his tail? Lord."
Astra let the two women bond over the plays, or 'movies' as they called
them, for a few minutes before reminding them of the 'intenet'.
Joe sat down in front of several bulky boxes.
-
"I can't get the internet to work."
-
"Here we go...okay the news section provides an explanation."
-
"Nobody on the internet, and there are very few left, seem to know what is going on."
-
"The internet seems normal! Nobody is saying anything weird!"
-
"The internet seems normal...holy god, everyone on the internet is human!"
-
"Everything's all weird...but this half-story seems to indicate England is cut off from the rest of the world...oops there goes the entire internet. Bloop."
-
Before Joe could navigate anywhere, the front door is bashed in. Lassie, perched on a sofa, actually knocks over one of the seven shadowy figures bashing in.
