Fred and Astra turned at the gnomes sudden cry and saw the door slam shut.
They raced back but before they could reach it there was the sound of the
door being locked. They slammed hard into the door. Velus barked angrily. Astra put her ear to the door but could not hear anything. "We have to brake the door down" Fred said urgently, "We must save him from whatever it was that attacked him." But Astra disagreed, "He is probably dead anyway. We must not get sidetracked from our mission to slay the dragon. We have to go on."
