With the lunatic's cries, the portal manifests. Of course Astra could not go through it. She tells Velus that seven swift sounds, four soft, one very loud and two more swift is code for her guardsmen that trouble is afoot.

  1. Velus goes through the portal and warns the guardsmen.
  2. Unfortunately the wine cellar had been locked for the weekend.
  3. Time and plot is saved as two visiting butlers rescue Astra and the others into the castle.
