In the eventual darkness, none of the party could actually see anything, so the reliance was on the other senses.

The trio did not speak at all for some time, merely grunting and groaning each time they needed to stop and rest. This unofficial vow of silence was broken by the sound of a thud and an 'Ow!' coming from Astra's direction.

"What is it, princess?" Fred asked.
"A wall. We've hit a wall." Astra replied.
"Wall? A barricade sort of wall? A plain wall?"
"Stone, just like the rest of the walls."
"Hmm... well, perhaps there is a trapdoor above us."
"Well, if I could see I'd..."
"You need to see, princess? I have some torches!"
"You'd not mentioned this before, why, Fred?"
Fred did not bother with a reply and lit two torches

Astra, Fred, and Velus all looked up to see nothing but the plain ceiling above them.

1. "Well, looks like we're going to have to go back down..." Astra groaned.
2. "Well, looks like we're going to ha-AAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Astra screamed as she and both her companions fell through a trapdoor below them.
