Fred could see the sense in this, so he picked up the quill, and took both quill and parchment back to Astra, before walking to the tile and reading it out. He had to repeat himself several times, which didn't improve his mood any. That was not any reflection on Astra, however; he simply read it too fast.

Manathus was still waiting for them by the time they managed to get out of the catacombs. He read what Astra had written on the parchment, and his face contorted with rage. "This...this is meaningless!" He spluttered.

"What?" Astra exclaimed. "I had to suffer that indignity for nothing?"

The mage, calming down somewhat, read the parchment again. "You didn't - There is something there, I just didn't see it at first." He looked at them. "I don't need you for the moment."

1. He transports them back to the bedroom.
2. They get transported somewhere else.
