Half-Dog, Full On Monster Masher.

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 74547

Josh shakes off his confusion, thinks over the past five minutes and realizes this chain bookstore is under siege by horrible monsters. He makes sure the one he subdued his dead, he locks the surviving humans in the men's room and goes off to kill the rest of the beasties.
Something with more tentacles then seemed possible was in the manager's office. Josh bit it in half.
The microwave in the employee break room had somehow turned into an eyeball. Josh smashed it to death with a chair. The women's room toilet had something in the maxi-pad disposal bin. Burbank kicked it until blood spurted out the top.
The sci-fi section had a zombie. Josh punched the head clean off.
Hooboy, being half-dog sure had it's upsides.
Josh swiftly tosses all the remnants of monsters out the front door, barricades all entrances with shelves and goes back to the men's room to brief the humans. They cheer and laugh with relief.
Someone has an old-school radio acquired from a Goodwill and with patience, they get a news channel.

  1. Only the city had been affected by monsters.
  2. Only the state.
  3. Actually, Josh is in Australia and only it has been affected.
  4. Worldwide monster problems.
  5. Worldwide chaos but half-animal protectors are showing up everywhere.
  6. The old-school radio bites off a human's pinky before delivering any real news. Then it calls Josh a stupid fuck.
