Funny, he could have sworn he was able to talk earlier. Passing through the icy cold of hyperspace (or wherever teleporting dogmorphs go) must have made him too hoarse (or perhaps too hoaund would be more appropriate) to talk.

"Aaaaw, how cute!" the children exult, swarming him like the mangy mutt he is. "Can we keep him?"
