Undaunted, Fred simply reads the spell again, louder and clearer than he did the first time. Nothing happens.

Twenty frustrating minutes pass, and Fred finally concedes defeat after he repeated the incantation every way possible, and even after he desperately tried three other similar spells in the book to no avail. Astra is still the size of a mouse. Fred now realizes that even though he is the greatest warrior the kingdom has ever known, magic is not one of his talents.
