Astra was flustered. “But that’s absurd! That would mean that if I am touched there…” she did a quick calculation, “14 times, I would have no height left. What happens to me then?”

“That is what I was wondering as well. Interesting experiment, isn’t it?” The dragon laughed cruelly. “You will have a new guard each day from now on, and I can guarantee that they are all dishonourable male pigs. I will see you again in a fortnight.” The dragon laughed again as he turned and walked away.

Astra hung for a few minutes alone with her thoughts, until she heard footsteps coming down the tunnel. My new guard, she thought to herself.

  1. Indeed, a pig dressed in the armour of the dragons guard and walking on two legs arrived.
  2. But no, it was Velus who somehow had regained human form!
  3. But no, it was a questing knight!
