Astra-chan's first inclination was to say: "But I don't want to
join you." But she quickly reconsidered, and decided to hold her tongue.
Hog-tied as she was, she was not in a very strong bargaining position. If
she turned them down, perhaps they would let Violent Jay beat her
senseless after all. And at least she ought to get some clothes out of
the deal.
"What do you say?" Shaggy2Dope asked her. "Astra-chan accepts your kind offer. She will be a ninja." "No, she will be a clown," Shaggy2Dope said, as he cut her bonds. "You will not be trusted with ninja weapons. And you need a new name. Astra-chan doesn't cut it. You can be called Red, because of your hair. Which reminds me, untwine those pigtails." He turned to the other ninjas. "Who has the hair frizzer gadget? And the make-up. She'll need a nose too, of course. And a suitably humiliating clown costume."
