Wanting to trade in for a smaller model...

So, it was with great relief that the acid test is passed and the females seemed to have succeeded . . . And with everything else pretty much going without (too much) of a hitch the mage and his customers part ways, each intent on their assumed tasks. The elf and giantesses are off to rescue children from the clutches of a dragon. The Mage? Well, after the shocks of today he has a date with some good wine!! Maybe he'll even tap into the GOOD stuff, his mead.

It'll be a while yet before they come back (IF they come back). By then he'll be sober again and prepared. However, after all this excitement he need something STRONG!!

"Too big," I mutter to myself, in disgust as I look down at myself after that long journey here to the opening of the dragon’s cave.

Hell, even being a human being would be better than this. Might as well have a target painted on my back. Too large...

Transforming into the form afforded us by Braveheart being our familiar had been wonderful but it had only delayed the inevitable. I . . .don’t want to be this large...

It had been wonderful, however, while flying about in the skies under our own powerful wings. Made retuning to this . . .gross form I call a body all the harder.

“Grrrr,” I hear a wolflike growl of frustration behind me.

Turning about, I look and find it’s source. By the looks of it Hilda finds she too wishes to no longer be in this accursed form but what we were destined to be. Must say that I understand our little sister more now, how she was kind of relieved in us NOT insisting on her becoming a giant and all earlier.

We should be elves and as soon as we retrieve the children we shall BE that! Hope to whatever gods and goddesses who will listen that we don’t get STUCK in the smaller branching passageways up ahead, damnit. We need to be elfin in body for we are . . .elves in mind and spirit. Complete the process..
