In spite of her encouraging words to Fred, Diana felt uneasy. Given that
his strange new visual sense had seemingly resulted from the injury
inflicted by an undead blade, could it be trusted? However there seemed
to be little alternative to letting him guide them, as she herself had no
idea which way they should go.
But before they could leave the chamber they were in, Exotica's blank expression suddenly became animated. She had snapped out of her trance. Perhaps it was having the robe put on her which had caused this, for she said: "Why have I, Yrrlassrhye, who has given myself to the Dark, been dressed in a robe of a filthy priestess of the Light? It is not fitting." Shrugging off the attentions of Sofia and Imelda, she slipped the robe up over her head and threw it away from her as hard as she could. "That's just great," Diana said. "I liked it better when she was out of it. Come on, then. Let us go and find out what it is that Fred can see down the corridor." But it seemed that Exotica, or rather Yrrlassrhye, could detect what was down the corridor. "No!" she said. "The Light burns! I will not go that way." "Sorry, Exotica, but this is for your own good," Diana said. Stepping up to the Princess, she landed a right hook on her jaw with as much force as she could manage.
