Outside the train station, in the sun and the sky, where geography made sense (for now) Roland and Josh talked.
"I'm sorry for your friend." Roland said, not quite understanding the situation. "Though it was really a mercy. His muscles and stature were not natural. If not for my bullet, he would have died screaming...screaming..."
Roland shook himself. "Come. We should be away from this place. We are too close to where...reality becomes thin."
