Astra Seeks a Truce

"You fight well," she said to her opponent. "Will you agree to a truce? I'd rather not risk injuring such a worthy adversary if there's no need. I assure you that I have no intention of despoiling your world. Oh, and my name's Astra, not Gaia."

"You misunderstand. Gaia is the name of this world. If you aren't here to despoil it, then why are you here?"

"I didn't intend to come here. I was making my escape from the room back there, through a hole I made in the metal wall."

Astra turned to point out how she had arrived, but then gasped in surprise. The metal wall through which she had arrived, which would have been so incongruous in this otherwise idyllic setting, had vanished.

"What metal wall?" the woman asked. "We never use metal in our buildings. It's far too ugly a material."

1. Astra manages to convince the woman of her good intentions, in spite of the lack of any hard evidence to support her story.
2. Combat is resumed.
3. Alerted by the commotion, three more women enter and Astra is overpowered.
