A curse so terrible could only be lifted with the sacrifice of a month of pleasant memories from either of them.
Fred knew of this; a typical White Magic neutralization spell. His friend from college had done such a sacrifice to spare a Hespan diplomat from an enlargement spell.
Naturally Fred and Velus offered their memories instantly.
Fire and cold burts from the Wizard's hands. The magic was enough to make everyone in the room swoon and fall to the floor.
Velus managed to make it upright.

  1. Exotica was okay.
  2. The spell had failed.
  3. Though Exotica was not overcome by the compulsion to dance, she had still been driven insane.
  4. Exotica and Fred were asleep and the Wizard was gone.
