The Never Ending Quest - Episode 71924

The last thought to go through Raymond's head is "Those aren't prop watermelons." He had always thought that Gallagher was smashing 'prop' watermelons due to the way they exploded with such vigor. No, apparently, he is just using a huge mallet and has surprisingly large amounts of upper body strength.

After smashing Raymond's head, Gallagher walks off, muttering to himself about Showtime specials. Scott then gets up, spits out a bullet, and looks down at Raymond's corpse. "You just don't learn, do you Ray?" he says, with a sad look on his face, then walks off in the opposite direction of Gallagher.

Scott goes to a local hot dog dive and orders three rippers, all the way, and some chili cheese fries. While waiting on his food he pulls out his cell phone and scrolls through the numbers. Seeing Horace's name, he goes ahead and gives him a call. "What the..." he mutters, having received an electronic voice prompt.

Thank you for calling Horace at Tower Services. We want to give you the assistance you need. From your positioning we can tell that you are currently on a Floor with special provisioning. If you want relocation to your Home location, press 1. If this is an emergency having to do with the children of Ungoeth, run while pressing the pound key repeatedly and we will try to get someone on the scene to grab you asap. From caller ID we detect you are Scott Childers, and thus your Home is the Staircase Room, a multiversal nexus. For the main menu for your nexus, press 2. To leave a message for staircase services, press 3. To speak to someone directly, please input your emergency pin number.

Scott then hangs up the phone. "Crap, I should have read that e-mail." It is true, he received an e-mail a few months ago telling him all about the changing of the phone numbers and all the new protocols. He has his PIN, but only because Reaibn carved it into his arm with a soldering iron.

Scott's food comes, and he eats it slowly and without much vigor. When he is on his last chili fry, something happens.

What happens?

  1. Scott farts. That is about it.
  2. Scott calls the line back, requests home transport.
  3. Scott calls the line back, requests his nexus menu.
  4. Scotts cell is stolen by a man in a hooded sweatshirt who then runs out of the restaurant. Pursue!
  5. An old woman chokes on her hot dog. Someone to the rescue?
