Jerry shakes his head. He has already decided he is never going back. He
does not know where he will go, but he cannot return to that life.
Never again. And did he really murder all those people? He shakes his head
again, and sighs. It is then that he gets tapped on the shoulder. A man wearing a trench coat and a hat low over his face, obscuring his identity, hands Jerry a card. "Read this," says a strangely familiar voice, and then the man is quickly retreating towards the parking lot. "Wha..." says Jerry, reading the card. It was a mistake for you to ever leave the Tower. If you want to avoid the terrible life you left behind in New York, meet me on the corner of 5th and 19th streets, by the hot dog stand, in one hour. Your life will not be normal, but I promise you escape from this world. -your friend, Scott Childers *wink* But Scott was dead! Wasn't he? "Screw it," says Jerry. Anything is better than returning to New York. At the specified time, he was at the corner of 5th and 19th street. After five minutes with no one showing up, he was about ready to leave when the hot dog vendor spoke. "Hey Jerry," said Scott, fixing a dog with everything for a random passerby, "ready to go?" Jerry laughed and nodded, and Scott dialed a number on his cell phone and entered in a certain sequence of numbers. A moment later, Jerry began to remember.. a staircase, random occurrences, Josh and Scott... random visitors... "The Tower! You are taking me back to the..." And then they disappear. The hot dog stand is unattended. They are gone. And now, in the Staircase Room!
