"Implantation?"

The man gave her a slimy smile. "A simple precaution. I'm sure you undersand the necessity for security, yes? Especially in matters as... delicate... as this." He snapped his fingers, and the two security people closed in on either side of Stacy. The man smiled at her again. "Do not worry. I am assured that the implantation process is relatively painless. When you are finished, we will talk again." And he turned his back on her dismissively. The security types each took hold of an elbow, and began to hustle her out of the room. The man who had driven her here remained behind.

As she was bustled down the hall, Stacy felt a rising sense of panic. She'd been handling this situation reasonably well so far, she thought, but this talk of "implantation" frightened her. She began to think that perhaps she'd gotten in way over her head here.

1. Despite the man's warning, Stacy decided she had to make an escape attempt.
2. Stacy swallowed her fear and went quietly along with the security gaurds.
