After seeing that there was no clear explanation for Josh's latest mad stunt (there rarely ever is) Scott wanders back into the library. He intended to go back to the Josh section but instead found Lots42 perched on a ladder, reciting bad poetry. "It was about twelve or thirteen years ago In a quadrant just right next to ours Captain James (or was it Slim) or Mary, Bob or Sue... A female Captain of some reknown Had come down to her very last hours. She wasn't dying or dead or transformed or the Borg Or any of the horrible things that could happen to her She'd simply been promoted one step up An admirable honor, don't get me wrong But she'll miss her grand ship, it'll miss her to be sure The USS Yorktown or was it the Endeavor? Or the Indpendent that spent five months in the sea... The point of the story, Yes I'm getting to it ... She was now a member of the Admirality There were ships to supervise and plants to mind And a thousand colonies that were expanding slowly But just like her ship, now left in good hands There were other good hands to take the good reigns But it was now her job, her and the admirality But then there was a note, left in the bar ... It said 'Don't punish my assistants, it's my responsibility' And the fresh ex-captain was nowhere to be found Her ship was searched well and she wasn't quite there And a transmission was recieved that clarified her safety And oddly a enough, a few others quite vanished, A regretful engineer, who ran a teaching position And three indies who flew for whoever did pay them. A doctor who spent little time treating injuries... Yes I see you all have a quite creeping position And though the publicity was poor for the Admirals in general That one of their own vanished soon after promotion In truth they approved of the secretive ship It appears where it's needed and welcome by all And the first face they see is pleased by her position..." Scott shakes his head.
