Astra, Ruler of the World

Astra was not the evil and tyrannical ruler that Fred had proved to be. Indeed she seemed to be generally well liked, even loved. But she was not me. For I must confess that one of my motives for killing Fred was that doing so might permit my growing influence to eventually extend to my becoming world ruler myself.

I was also saddened by being unable to find any trace of Akeala in this version of reality. I wonder what could have happened to her. Perhaps history had been changed in such a way that her parents had never met.

1. I managed to return to the present, and pondered what I should do.
2. Then I managed to catch a glimpse of Astra as she traveled through the streets of the capital in her coach. She did not look a day older than she had fifty years before! How could that be? Had she had recourse to magic?
