"I'm sorry, but I cant take rookie warriors with me into the Dragon's
Lair," Fred said. "You three should find a safer job, like escorting
merchants or something. Sorry about that..." "Ha! We may be inexperienced but we've seen our fair share of battles just getting to this country," Juno said. "What makes you think you're so great?" "I've killed hundreds of men," Fred said with a sudden fierce gleam in his eyes. "Thieves, bandits, rioters, dragonspawn. I've heard their dying screams and felt their warm blood on my skin. I've seen all the horrors of the battlefield. And I tell you the Dragon's Lair is a nightmarish labyrinth of chaotic brutality such as you have never imagined. Its no place to train - only to die." "I've heard enough," Diana sighed, reaching for the sack of gold she had received from Fred. Suddenly, the door to the Stoned and Hammered flew off its hinges, and with an animalistic roar six high orc warriors burst into the room. Patrons screamed as the orc archers loosed volleys of multiple arrows into the crowd, as two heavily armored, axe wielding orcish berserkers started laying into anyone who stood in their path. Fred cursed and quickly tipped their table to the side. Garishly fletched orcish arrows thudded into the thick wood as he hid behind it with the three female mercenaries. "What should we do, Sir Fred?" Persephone asked.
