So to recap, characters from expansions in a theoretical NEQ trading card
game had ended up in battle against each other but at the last minute
chose to set aside their differences and find a way to escape from their
bizarre universe. Or did they? Barenaked Ladies Expansion
Princess Astra of Aqualaria, wearing a cursed corset and wielding a Russian commando dagger. Princess Exotica of Allaria. She was almost as tall as Astra, but far more slightly built. Her hair was dark. Lady Diana Thessamer of Aqualaria, who was a cousin of Astra's. She carried a crossbow. Lady Annie Oakley of Gana. She too had a crossbow. Princess Imelda of Hespan. She had a sword. Countess Maria of Oakridge, who came from one of the Western Kingdoms. She also had a sword. Princess Helena from Califie. A petite girl, she wore one of the guards' shirts, which almost reached her knees. Helena's twin sister, Princess Sophia. She wore the other shirt. Lady Sara Ushiko from MalBoncton. Her skin was dark brown. She wore a pair of pants, and had a cloth wrapped round her hand where she was bleeding from a wound from a crossbow bolt. Elena, Duchess of Belview, from Nom Malbra. She wore the other pair of pants. And of course there was Ardua, who was completely naked but had a giant two-handed axe for smiting foes with.
Staircase Room Expansion
Scott Chen, the tragic main hero of Story 3, who wore fluffy pyjamas and wielded a Phobos Phaser. Josh Burbank, wielding a giant broken clock hand, sharp enough at one end to be used as a sword. Jasper Hewitt, wielding a can of petrol and some matches. Sara Hewitt, clad in a summer dress and sandals and wielding a reinforced yew-oak longbow (she has 50 arrows). Furry Sara, armed with her lethal claws. Lots42, armed with a badly shaken up can of Sprite. Steve Thomas (from episode 32703), armed with 23 throwing shuriken and Steven Hawkings' chair which he has "expropriated" somewhere. Sir Toby, armed with a Powerbook equipped with a high-speed wireless modem. Jerry Seinfeld, armed with nothing but his wits and I suppose he has his umbrella too. Anyway... "Allright," Astra said, trying to make herself heard over the buzz of that many people talking at once. "Quiet! Quiet down everyone! We have to think of how we're going to escape from here, wherever here is!!" "Ah, go put some pants on!!" Jerry Seinfeld yelled irritably. Princess Imelda was shrieking for some reason and a scuffle was breaking out at one end of the crowd over something utterly ridiculous.
