"Work?!" Astra gasped. "I may not look too regal right now, but I am
still a Princess. There's no way I'm going to toil as a maid in some
miserable little scullery! There are plenty of peasants around to do
that." "Arf!" Fred the little dog barked angrily, as if somehow offended by the comment. "Don't worry pup, we'll be out of these dreary caves soon," Astra promised, taking a side-passage that sloped sharply left and downwards. They passed an entrance to a giant cave that contained a large number of oddly dressed people laughing and singing and throwing flowered wreaths over a golden sculpture of a calf. There was much feasting and drinking, and a man's voice was yelling loudly "Gather round, all! Praise the golden calf that has led us out of Egypt!" Astra kept going, and soon the sounds of celebration faded to the steady drip-drip of water from the ceiling, and the flutter of horned cavebats streaking by. The cave passage sloped ever downward, soon coming to yet another cave entrance. Astra heard sounds coming from this one too, but something felt strange - she couldnt understand what was making these sounds, and somehow they felt disturbing.
