The Never Ending Quest - Episode 66001

"That's it," Astra said encouragingly as Fred, in Carola's body, pretended to throttle the paralyzed knight form. He could see fear in the knight's eyes, despite the paralysis, but it occurred to Fred that he still had no memories of the incident transpiring in this fashion. In his memory, it was still clearly Astra that had finished him originally. What was actually happening, then? Was he somehow creating an alternate timeline, while in some way not actually affecting his presence here in this form? Or was that actually him even inhabiting his former body at this moment? It was too confusing, and in the heaviness of the situation, Fred decided to push these thoughts to the back of his mind. He released the slackened grip on the knight's throat and looked up at Astra. "He's dead," Fred/Carola lied to Astra.

  1. "Very good, sister," Astra says. "Now let's be on our way."
  2. "He's clearly still alive," Astra says. "I'll have to kill the both of you myself, then!" Through Carola's eyes, Fred looks to the paralyzed knight's sword lying nearby...
  3. "Good," Astra approved. "Now I'll deal with you, little sister, and find out what secrets you're hiding." Astra then knocked Fred/Carola unconscious with the flat of her blade.
