Tabris "Oh good Lord no!" a wispy, whiny voice protests, gender indeterminate, from thin air "Oh, by all MEANS you shall!" another voice almost literally growls. Kind of reminds me of that movie one voice actor who did that talking lion's voice in my daughter's favorite children's tale. That stands to reason, considering everything else here and now. What with all us fugitives from various TV shows and such, you see. . . . I'm told that I much more like the Seiyû Akira Ishida by FAR than the voice actor Kyle Sturdivant. Gainex and the rest sure as Hell got my damn attitude and character down pat in Neon Genesis Evangelion. . . . But that's not too terribly important right now. Perhaps the owners of those unseen voices were important, but somehow at the time I found the attacking dragons (and the immediate aftermath) much more worthy of my attention. I am sure you understand why. He who ignores dragons is a fool, period! Yes, I know that those two had been after us in general and me in particular because of the simple fact that WHEN either I or little Rei I gets put out of action (i.e. killed!), the Quest is over and the Author wins! Meaning that besides the injustice that a small and innocent CHILD should have been killed for some SOB's pleasure, a whole world's population should become a plaything as well! . . . But I never wanted to even hurt Shinji Akari, even before becoming fully human (and disabused of the line of crap that SEELE had been feeding me about Instrumentality)! It would have been with regret I would have betrayed his trust, but I'd believed at the time that the happiness that he and every other human from Instrumentality would make up for it. . . . Though I had begun to doubt SEELE's good intentions near the end, I still cannot believe the load of horse crap I'd swallowed back then! After all, that committee dealt enough of that stuff that even all the cattle ranchers in Montana couldn't compete! And . . . played "hardball" not with anything less than hand grenades. Jesus, talking about being naive! But those events earlier today makes me wonder if SEELE is in this Author's league. I may have met SEELE's match in this Author because what we learned in the next few moments! I feel really angered, however, to have been basically boxed into a situation where I gave pain to Shinji, let me tell you. Granted, he and Asuka hadn't been exactly in their right minds and would have killed ME if they'd not been halted. Granted, it could be worse if my shots had been set to "kill" (they'd hit in the right spots to be leathal). That would have made me feel REALLY terrible (Shinji's had enough pain in his life) if it should have happened. Still I find myself feeling bad about it all, reasonablely based guilt or not. Anyway, back to what had happened! Having chosen to ignore the arguing and unseen voices above Sigin instead opts on reverting to his human seeming pulls out some kind of strange tool that makes an most annoying "twerping" sound when activated. However, I cannot argue with the results! Find out later that the device is called a "sonic screwdriver" and it is a rather handy little device given to Sigin and his teammates as a gift from the Doctor. Around one foreleg of each dragon there had been what appeared to be a golden armband (as you could say). In actuality, they were golden crowns of rather fine workmanship. Had to wince at the destruction of fine workmanship, but I did not protest it. Gold and silver, in and of itself is worthless back Home, you see. I did not then protest and still do not protest the damage done to the crowns because of what they were made of since it seemed to be part of some kind of . . . transformational curse. Breaking the crowns and removing them caused the unconscious dragons to shrink down back to normal (albeit naked). That seemed to surprise some in the crowd (including Sigin . . . .maybe he thought undoing things would be harder), but medical aid is given to the two unconscious Eva pilots. I must say that I was (and still am) glad to hear that both Shinji and Asuka ("mine") should soon recover and awaken in a while. Truly, I am glad to hear that, but I have to fear for the future. Was that an indication of what is in store for both me and little Rei here in my arms?! Will everyone here in NERV, cornered and increasingly frantic, soon become puppets of this Author, to be driven to try to attack and kill us? Though glad that the now restored couple is still amongst the living and stable (according to the medical people who haul them away) I still have to wonder . . . .what was Sigin hiding from me and the others of this group before I left to go look after Rei I? I keep asking myself that off and on as I sing to the little girl who shares the same . . . problem I do: being an unwitting (and unwilling) source of everyone's woes right now. I have to ask myself why Sigin had an apprehensive look upon his face when he glanced at Asuka and Shinji before the medics take them away for further treatment. I still have that uncanny knack you may have notice if you ever saw "me" in the anime, but I fear that he is one VERY hard person to get a good read on, you may see. He fails to answer my questions about what his concerns are, only promising to tell all at the strategy meeting IF his concerns are not groundless. Oh, and let us not forget that with the harshest of warnings Sigin practically bullies some of the security types about to cordone off the area around the mystery cave, telling them to NOT let anyone get anywhere near it. Something about it being hazardous to one's health . . .or more like the area being cursed, really. It or something within HAD changed Asuka and Shinji into dragons, you know! I and the others see the point so . . . the cave is off limits, easy as that! But as for otherconcerns . . . Swearing me to secrecy so as to not worry the injured EVA pilot's gaurdian and mother, he then sent me away. Somewhere along the lines I found myself here singing to little Rei I. The rest you know.
