Astra jumped - at least, she jumped as far as someone sitting on their
backside could
jump. She had thought that the room was unoccupied apart from herself.
Turning her head,
she saw a little old man no more than two feet six inches high, with a
white beard
that almost reached the ground. He was dressed in robes of green. Astra
didn't know
whether he was a midget, a dwarf, a pixie, or what.
"Who are you?" she asked the little man. "If you are going to barge into my home uninvited, wearing nothing but your underwear, I rather think that I am entitled to find out who you are first," he replied. "I'm sorry. I didn't know that anyone lived here. I'm not sure if I'm wise to tell you this, but I'm on the run from orcs. I am Princess Astra of Aqualaria." The little man replied:
