The Hand of Bob

A large hand came out of the sky, and presented Fred with a gift. The gift was about the size of a loaf of bread, but it was a bag made of some sort of thin parchment. As Fred grasped the bag, it felt warm. A little wisp of steam escaped from a tiny hole at the top of the bag. The bag had a nice smell to it - it was like that of unleavened bread.

A scribe had spent some time working on the bag. There was some simple artwork, and, in bright blue lettering, the words, "Quicky-Pop Microwave Popcorn - with real butter taste."

The voice from above said, "Open it and eat, Lord Fred. For it is good."

Fred tore open the bag at the top, and took a handful of "popcorn." As the voice promised, it was good, although salty. Fred needed a drink.

"Oh, Bob," Fred said. "Your 'popcorn' is indeed tasty. But I am now thirsty. Have you a drink with which I may slake my thirst?"

"Sure thing," the voice of Bob boomed. The hand came down from the sky and handed Fred a can of

2. beer.
