The Never Ending Quest - Episode 63807

1st year medical resident Melissa Chambers wasn't sure what to expect on her first day at New York's biggest hospital, but this certainly wasn't it. Assigned to help in the emergency room, the petite, 23 year old blonde had expected to deal with the usual - heart attacks, construction injuries, fevers, and the occasional drug overdose or gunshot wound. Babysitting the locals from some Dungeons and Dragons or Lord of the Rings convention wasn't what she had in mind.

First, a tall, dark skinned man with a longbow (which security promptly confiscated) and some guy in a scarily realisitc devil or demon costume had brought in an injured girl suffering from extreme trauma. No sooner had she been admitted into emergency surgery, that another unusual trio walked in. A man and a redhead woman, both wearing armor, carrying a naked boy in his mid-teens.

Melissa didn't bat an eyelash this time as she approached the trio. "More from the D&D convention, huh? What the hell are you guys doing over there? She checked Velus over quickly.

"Looks like he's just sleeping. That's wierd. He'll be fine, though. Somebody get this kid a hospital robe!" she finished with a shout.

"Please, Lady. Prithee tell us where the fair princess Exotica has been taken?" Fred asked.

"Huh? Oh, you mean your friends from earlier. Come with me. She's probably still in surgery, though."

Fred and Astra followed Melissa along the corridor. Before they got very far, a man in a blue uniform with a hat that said "Security" approached Astra and demanded she give up her sword. Asta reluctantly parted with the weapon. They then continued on their way, beyond a set of double doors labled "Trauma Center"

There, Fred and Astra were met by Nerozi and Shard, who were waiting anxiously for news. They didn't have to wait long. No sooner had they arrived than a man in strange blue clothing approached them.

  1. "Your friend is resting comfortably. She has many internal injuries, including a concussion, and a broken arm, but she will recover.
  2. "I'm sorry, the damage was too severe. Your friend has died."
