An Earthquake Strikes New York

Then Stacy sees something that freezes her. "This can't be happening." she whispers as a large crack forms on the wall ten feet down. Then water shoots through.

The pathway to the stores collapses in a mighty roar, throwing up a blinding cloud of dust. Stacy staggers back against the train.

A section of the ceiling in the other direction slams down. Stacy screams.

Then nothing.

Light comes from the now stopped escalator and upper hallway. It is flickering and is a sickly yellow. The ceiling panel lays half on the train, it's other edge resting on the floor.

The path to the shops is completely blocked off.

Stacy looks through the windows of the train. She can see, faintly, if she twists her head, that though this car is blacked out, the other cars have emergencey lighting.

What does Stacy do?

The train itself is dark.

1. Stacy stays where she is and waits for rescue.
2. Stacy ducks under the ceiling panel and heads up the stopped escalator.
3. Stacy heads into the darkened subway car. After all, if it can stop a ceiling panel like that, better the car then her head.
