Contrary to popular belief, zombies are fragile things, liable to disintegrate at the slightest provocation. So Fred had no difficulty in destroying this one. Having done so, he swaggered back to the maiden. "There you are, Ass," he said. "You see, it was nothing that you needed to worry your pretty little head over."

By this time, the maiden's attitude towards her rescuer had passed from initial gratitude, through annoyance, to incandescant rage. She swung back her leg and aimed a mighty kick at Fred's groin. The pain that it would inflict might reduce him to silence long enough for her to tell him that she was a proud warrior princess by the name of Astra.

She had failed to take into account that Fred was wearing full armour, whilst she was naked. "Argghh!" she screamed, hopping around on one foot. "I think I've broken a toe." "You're a hoot, Ass," Fred chuckled.
