Lilith

A disruption of almost everything, really, with the introduction of the Champion known as Rei III right now and a not quiet human man with a need to balance the scales.

That and the G-man does not wish to himself being on the receiving end of a temporal paradox. What he does NEXT will play into events that had happened to him in the PAST.

There was no love lost between him and the one known as Fred Takahashi, but that was by the by. As long as these young women help HIM out here in a moment then he can move on, closing the files on this rather . . . trying period of his life!

At least he'd gained a few abilities since then . . .

Oh, but before you ask, let it be known that as always, the G-man does what he does . . .for his own reason. Not exactly a NICE man, this one, but in THIS case it is something like enlightened self-interest that he does what he's doing here and now.

That said. . . .

The idea that not only would his life have been portrayed in some video game but an actual ELF (of all things) would know of it is almost too much to take in for the G-man. But such as life! Made him almost want to be on the side of the Neon Genesis Angels, really, if only to wipe out the existence of such . . . . silliness. Indeed! Why the universe (or multi-verse) at large did not implode in protest over all of it was beyond HIM!

Anyway, to the task at hand . . .and I must say that I do believe that this last "disruption" that Lilith here experienced is very MUCH to her liking by the way she is actually purring almost there.

Oh, didn't you know? This woman here has had her "destiny" disrupted now a grand total of THREE times! The disruption of her "destiny" was heralded by the introduction of a select group of Champions into the mix. Not to say that these "Champions" were the cause of her having BURST into flame, signaling the "putting to paid" of Instrumentality and Third Impact being able to happen, they were just the heralds. Even that said, I do believe that it is a good thing that she doesn't even have the foggiest of memories of those prior times.

I have to wonder. What would she have to say to the Rei Quatermain for having turning away from her "destiny"? What would she have to say to Rei III for wishing to have Instrumentality happen in such a different manner than prescribe by that blasted SEELE Dead Sea Scrolls? Where she should be so "selfish" as to not wish to be sharing her mind and spirit with "her" Shinji Akari?

And just HOW could I possibly know about this, anyway?

I have my ways.

But that said, I do believe that the sound of pleasure that Lilith is now giving off is almost like a cat would give off, purring. Before, the disruption she'd experience had begun like all the others. Her AT field collapsing as the S2 Organ within her self destructed. The other times her body couldn't have adapted quickly enough for a Matrix to form. Wasn't enough time to change over from a non-viable form to a viable one, alas.

Oh, with a bit of help with a Champion in the mix for this . . . it'll help. But there is a little more needed to make this one last part REALLY doable.

With a little bit of help from me freezing time for all but her, her "guests", and me (something that I'm sure that you've probably seen my computer counterpart do in Half-life 2) AND the fact that one of the little . . . peace offerings I've brought along (actually not so little, considering the blasted thing weights quiet a lot). Well, she should at least listen to me long enough to tell her what is going on (and the infinite possibilities gifted her, now).

She's going to get some new marching orders here in a moment . . . but that's jumping ahead.

I do know, however, that what I'm going to have to reveal first won't be too well received . . . but then again beating around the bush would just not DO for such entities as Lilith's stature. She wouldn't take too well to it, I fear.

Admittedly, this is a somewhat modified version of a little "wakeup" I would have given my original . . . employment prospect (given in what I understand how things COULD have rolled out for my interests as seen in that damnable video game: Half-life 2), but for now it shall suffice.

The right people in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world. So wake up, Miss Lilith...wake up and...smell the ashes."

Ashes of the old fate, and the dawning of a new course of potential. There need not be exactly an ENDING here. Earth here in this place need not be the funeral pit for homo sapiens as they rise to some . . . travesty brought about in the name of higher evolution. No.

Limitless possibilities present by a chance connection between realities, derailing at the last moment . . . .Instrumentality.

These Champion people seem VERY good at such things.

First fiery pain followed by blessed relief . . . Wonderful relief!

And now someone wishes to speak with me?

I feel . . . strange. A feel of feathers on my bare back is the first clue. I feel them on my back and they twitch as if I will them like they're . . . part of me?

I feel something twitch in reaction, feathers tickling my back. The flutter of wings of an angel?

ME with wings like a stereotypical angels?!

1. "WHAT!?" I shout, coming out of the pleasant haze, aghast as I not only feel one of the wings in my hand coming out of my back, but the pressure of my hands as I grasp my wings!
