The Wizard Is Dead

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 6211

Fred and Velus bury the Wizard in the ground outside his home.
They venture back to the caves. Fred is outfitted in all new fighting togs, which are more resistant to blows, can withstand minor spells and also were just plain cooler then the crap he had worn before.
Velus had little bracelets around each leg, which served as magical 'shoes'. Though doggy feet were more resilent then humans, Velus still had to deal with cold stone and cold water. Well, not any more. As long as Velus wished it, his legs would be comfy warm.
Fred fiddled with a magic wand he had found. All it could do was make pebbles vibrate.
"Should we have looted the the dead guy's place like that?" said Velus. (The only other benefit of the looting was a spell that gave Velus full command of the ten most popular languages in the land).
"He was dead. What does he care?"
Velus shook his head. "Dunno. Just have a hunch."
The two enter the cave and head for Astra. But before they can get to her...

  1. Velus finds yet another naked maiden chained to the wall.
  2. Fred is struck by a sleep spell.
  3. Velus gets allergies.
  4. they get well and truly lost.
  5. they find a naked man chained to the wall.
  6. they stop for a drink at the local pub.
  7. they stop at the local library to pay some late fees.
  8. the Wizard's ghost shows up to berate them for looting his place.
  9. the Wizard's ghost shows up to thank them for taking care of his body.
  10. they meet a talking cat. Her name is Gia and was a school-teacher who ventured too close to the caves in rescuing a sheep.
