Fred just stood there, looking amazed. Edward was watching the dragon's
feet and tail in case he attacked. The dragon was looking back and forth
from Fred to Edward.
"What are you doing here, mortals?" The dragon asked through sobs. "We've come to kill you for attacking our lands!" Fred said. "Me?!" The dragon looked hurt at this accusation. "I would never attack unprovoked." "Where did this treasure come from if you never attack?" Edward asked. The dragon just stood, sobbing, and didn't answer. He bent down and licked his wound. "This dragon is lying!" Edward exclaimed. "You will explain yourself, dragon, or we will kill you!" Fred demanded. The dragon's sobs turned to laughter. "Fools! You shall perish here and your bones will forever decorate my halls!" The dragon whipped his tail around and struck Edward. The force from the impact sent him flying through the air. Fred rushed forward and thrust his sword upward into the dragon's belly. The dragon bellowed and took two steps back. He kicked at Fred and knocked him down. The dragon bent his head down towards Fred and said, "I shall eat you and enjoy the taste of your flesh." The dragon opened his mouth, preparing to bite down. Just then, Edward came rushing in and with one swift strike took off the dragon's head. The head flopped on the ground and the body stumbled backwards. It fell with a loud *CRASH!* that shook the halls and echoed down the tunnels. Edward helped Fred to his feet. "It's finally over." "No," Fred said, "it is never over. The dragon may be dead, but we have many more challenges ahead of us." "What do you mean?" What does he mean?
