The thought of being roasted alive by a fire breathing dragon was not
appealing to Fred or Edward. So much so in fact that they were frozen with
fear.
The dragon took a few seconds to look over these intruders. Suddenly lights appeared in the room and it was as bright as day time. Edward and Fred threw their torches to the ground and prepared to fight. Edward's first instinct was to attack the dragon's foot. The sword melted the dragon's scales and cut flesh and bone. The dragon had never felt a pain such as this and was momentarily stunned. He took a step back and breathed in deeply. Fred knew this is the part where the fire comes and roasts them. However, the fire did not come. Instead of fire there was a screech. It sounded as if the dragon was crying. "Oh why have you injured me so, mortals?" The dragon asked. Fred was taken aback. Why hadn't this dragon attacked them, and why did it seem surprised that it was hurt?
