"I wasn't sure that you'd return," she said. "I thought you might have had second thoughts."

"They must have been the same as my first thoughts, then. You said that you had no destination in mind, beyond that it needed to be far enough that you wouldn't have to worry about Granas or Valmar."

"Yes, though I'm not sure that anywhere would truly be that far away."

"Then it looks like it's up to me to select a destination for us."

"Yes please. You must know much more about the wider world than I do, so are better placed to do so. I've never been anywhere more than thirty miles from here."

"I have a possible destination in mind, but it's several hundred miles away. That's a journey of at least a week on horse-back, or two or three times that on foot. Do you know how to ride?"

2. "No." "Oh well, I'm not sure that I could have afforded to buy horses anyway."
3. "No." "In that case, how would you feel about us sharing a horse?"
