The Lava Man Dream

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 5934

Lord Fred pondered the dream. Obviously the lava man was a symbol of a problem that he had been wrestling with, the one of allegience. He had ignored the problem in the dream, and was literally burnt. This was a sign to him that he had to make a decision as to what his destiny was.

He could join forces with Robin Hood, who represented King Richard the Lionhearted. But if King Richard was such a good man, why was he constantly fighting wars in the East? Wars were expensive, and when King Richard inevitably was captured, one of his agents had his palm out, trying to extract some feudal due or tax.

Yet John had mismanaged the Kingdom badly. He put the entire kingdom in hock to the pontiff. These damned Plantagenets were all the same - a bunch of incompetent, self-glorifying blowhards.

No, Lord Fred knew that he would have to take decisive action. He would remain neutral for the time being, but his ultimate goal was

  1. to become the King of England himself.
  2. marry off his eldest daughter to a certain powerful lord.
  3. to find the philosopher's stone.
