Fred left his Captain, Aglok, in charge of running the Caves while he was
out. He put on a tattered, brown cape and an old hat. For protection he
tucked a small dagger inside his belt, and he also bore a long staff made
of oak in his hand. When he was ready to go, he had to decide which part of the Southern Caves he would visit first. Eventually he chose How many acres of underground soil to dedicate to the growing of human foodstuffs? What about the hundred Daylons, who must consume a mature pumpkin a day to survive? What about diamond miners who were vanishing left and right, all around the one mile-high stalctite? How does one deal peacefully with the primitive Amazonians that Belboz accidentally brought forward through time? And what about that one guy who reffered to himself as 'The governer of New York, USA'?
