Astra missed the last part of what Lucieno said, as she seemed to have a
particular hangup about being called a 'damsel'. That made her sound like
a weak, defenceless woman. If anyone else had called her that, even Fred,
she would have retaliated in some fashion. This time, however, it would
probably not be advisable. Still, she had difficulty restraining
herself. Lucieno didn't appear to notice this as he had already turned around to open the door and leave. He gave a small smile once the door had shut that indicated otherwise. Fred and Velus' room was adjacent to Astra's. Velus sensed his presence, and started growling at the door. Fred made sure that his sword was to hand; he opened the door moments before Lucieno reached for the handle. With a simple gesture, Lucieno froze Fred's sword arm. "Now, now," he chided. "Is that any way to treat the person who gave you a good nights sleep?" Realising who it was, "What are you doing here?" was all Fred could think to say. His arm was beginning to ache. "I wanted to see how things were going for myself," Lucieno replied matter- of-factly. "By the way, I'm going by the name of Lucieno. You'd do well to remember that." Ignoring what he percieved to be a veiled threat, Fred asked, "You'll be able to do something about fixing what that fool Ambaric did then?" "Of course, but as I told Stara, after you've kidnapped the philosopher. What Ambaric did could come in handy." "That would be a first," Fred muttered. Unbeknownst to him, Lucieno caught every word and again smiled to himself. "Still, look on the bright side," he said to Fred, cheerfully. "You'll be rid of him soon."
