Meal Time for Astra

The purpose of the table and chair in their rooms was for eating meals,
Astra realised. She sat in the chair and found it to be on a par to some
of the chairs she had back home. That set in motion a train of thought
that was disrupted by the appearance of a plate of food that she had to
admit to herself she had never seen before in her life and she initially
harboured doubts on whether she'd find it edible. It did smell
appetising, though. Coming from a country that was largely jungle, this was her first encounter with noodles. Giving it a tentative taste, she found that she liked it. Picking around at the meal, she found pieces of meat and vegetables that she recognised, so that help calmed her fears. Fortunately, it stayed warm, so she eventually got around to finishing it off. The drink was a different matter. It was red wine, something she was more familiar with. Though she would admit she was no connoisseur, she found it to her liking. It set off the meal perfectly, she thought. The meal hadn't looked substantial, but she found she was full up now, and didn't require any dessert, something the inn seemed to realise.
