Astra fetches up against...a set of metal bars. They were set in just far enough that they were invisible from the main room. But as her eyes adjusted to the gloom she saw there was a lock. A lock with a silver-edged diamond shape under it.
Astra had heard of this. Several of the younger boys in her hometown liked to play at quests. And scroll writers sold pre-written quests. It confused Astra as to why the kids just didn't make it all up but that wasn't here nor there. The pre-made quests tended to have things like locked doors with odd symbols. This usually meant that a diamond shaped key would open it.

  1. Turn around, resolving to find the key.
  2. Try to pick the lock.
  3. Astra pries off a table leg and smashes up the door. The rustiness flakes away and the door falls.
  4. Despite the symbol the gated door was unlocked...
