Trying to Pick the Lock

Astra decided that she would try to pick the lock. First she would need to
find something that could be used as a lock-pick. Going back into the room
that she had just come from, she looked around her to see what she could
find.
She saw that where the fabric covered one wall, two lengths had been pinned together. The pins were two inches long and looked quite sturdy. She removed one, and then returned to the metal bars. She inserted the sharp end of the pin into the keyhole and began manoeuvring it, hoping to hear the telltale click that would indicate that she had succeeded in picking the lock.
