Andrea Finds a Village

Before long she picked up a trail. It must lead somewhere, and she hoped that it would take her to a village before too many hours had passed. With a few of the gold coins she had scavenged, she could hire a comfortable room for the night at the local inn, and have a welcome hot meal. Just because she was on a quest didn't mean that she had to rough it all the time.

Talking of her quest, it occurred to her that it might have come to a premature end. If the Golden Dishcloth of Righteousness had been in the Abandoned Castle of Spookiness, then it had almost certainly been destroyed.

As she had hoped, before long she came to a village. Seeing a yokel walking along the trail towards her, she hailed him. "Hello, my good man. Does this village have an inn?"

1. "Sure do. Just up the main street - well, the only street - on the right."
2. "Sure do. But they don't serve your sort there." Her sort? What could he mean?
3. But the man took one look at her, and then turned and fled. How very odd!
