Astra, who had conversed with the others while walking, knew Exotica knew magic. Her requests for a spell were met with reluctance.

  1. "We could all die." said Exotica. "We could all die here!" said Astra. "Point." Magic flared.
  2. Exotica performs a spell that risks all of them switching minds.
  3. She does a spell that allows them to escape this danger but there was no way to tell where, on the surface they could end up.
  4. The danger of the one escape spell she could do involved rampant amnesia.
