Fred found the castle library behind a field of pro-nobillity magic. It wouldn't stop determined evil but it would sound the alarm and could be used to activate more mundane booby traps.
If Fred had been evil, the traps would not have worked anyway, the machinery was rusted shut.
Fred roamed the library proper.

  1. Investigate the Dewey Demarcation section on dragons.
  2. Read 'Curious George Finds An Object Of Dark Power'.
  3. Fred finds the librarian, kept alive by sleeping near the 'White Magics' section.
