First thing to ask: "What is our immediate area?"

Indeed.

. . .

Sigh. Well, that question of: "Where exactly do we find this forest that us Champions and bawdy girls are located on the map?" is a touch problematic. If we were just talking of me and Artizza it's location would NOT be pinned down JUST because of those large spiders: the Xytharyx. See, in our world those giant sized spiders are called "Xyltharyx" spiders because that was the name of the sage who first encountered (and survived to tell the tale)! They are found in more than a few places on OUR world (not in just one fell forest).

. . .

As an aside, it is too bad we just cannot try to find Norla's place (she lived in either this world's woods or somewhere similiar) and see if she's home! If she was, then we're in the wrong place and can leave. If not, then we maybe on the right track... However, being that Norla lives in a rather rough neighborhood (giant spiders and maybe hostile Dark Elves) don't bet on finding it easily if she doesn't wish it. She's very powerful in wards (which she left on before leaving I'm told) so it would probably take too long to beat the wards down to find her house....

Anyway, that's why the village. See, we find a decent merchant map at a local "podunk" village and we might save ourselves a lot of grief! See, even the poorest merchant/shopkeeper worth his salt has them on my and the bawdy girl's world in order to "avoid" the worst fixed hazards out there. If what we find on the map is radicully different from what the bawdy girls know of, then we just leave. Period. Go off to the next world on our list because we'd be wasting time. Would save a lot of time flying out over to where Pronky's place may or maynot be located. Fly to a local village would only cost something like twenty minutes, tops vice hours to find out the same thing. And if it proves that the town on the map that Pronky should be (but isn't because this is a mirror image world where he's holed up elsewhere) we only lost something like twenty minutes extra.

Worth the risk, in my opinion. A calculated risk.

Push comes to shove and we're running out of time we just pick a random world and dump Queen Helia there. Be hard on her and her and all that, but beat the heck out of her being a bawdy girl herself forevermore if we wait too long, eh?

Well, anyway....

In case of the bawdy girls for "their" Pronky's reality . . . . The spiders were only to be found in one particular forest and one alone! If that is the case then where we are is near the sea and yet is in Allaria. See, on their homeworld (and hopefully THIS is it) it could only be in the extreme far SE corner, just north of the Shreken. With us, we had this large lake I think we were near and...

Well, that's not important right now.

IF (and that is still a big "if") we are on the right world then from here we might be able to soon enough find some kind of small village or something. Get our bearings and THEN head on off to where we should find Mistress Candida's Bawdy House. Might get a few clues on Pronky's location (we know of his home. Might even catch him there himself (the bawdy girls have memories of him being a customer from somewhere). Seems to be the type to visit places like that, the . . .

Ah, well.

If nothing is found there (i.e. the mistress is closed mouth and we are willing to detour), let us detour to that one summer palace that the bawdy girls found themselves at. Being that that lordling is unlikely to have a mage on retainer to just cast spells to visit a whore house I'll bet that the lordling is within a carriage ride distance. Hear that is the way things are at least over in that God forsaken place, the Eastern Kingdoms. Almost as bad as Malboncton (with Wallants only pulling out ahead in a neck and neck race).

All that said . . .

As an aside I would like to ask Pronky what he'd done to mask the bawdy girls until they'd finally shown up again to Dr. Vincent's scryings (some months after they'd disappeared from Dr. Vincent's view according to Inquirer's parents who'd quizzed Vincent on the details)....

. . . .

Say, do the girls KNOW that they'd been out that long, into mid summer? Do believe that they'd said that it had been something like either late spring or early . . .

  1. Hey, I have a question for you Freda and Astra, I begin. Now, I don’t want to alarm you, so brace yourself, but . . .
